Working at her father’s outdoor guide shop and minding her own business has been KJ Carson’s life for the last 16 years. Her junior year is destined to be different when she finds herself in a journalism class with the cute new guy living in town. KJ has always been into the outdoors so when she gets an assignment to write about wolves she agrees, especially because it means she gets to spend more time with Virgil. KJ gets so caught up in the way of the wolves that she forgets the real world. She forgets she lives in a farming town and there is only kind of wolf that’s accepted; a dead one. When someone in town starts participating in random acts of violence toward anyone who likes the wolves KJ must find a way to save the wolves and the people in the town that she cares about.
