Alex used to be a normal teenager struggling to get through another day of school with good grades and keeping his part-time job. Now Alex is struggling to keep himself and his two little sisters alive. This novel is a spin-off of Life As We Knew It. The difference between the two is the change in characters and location. This book shows readers the perspective of an apocalyptic event taking place in a large city, in this case New York. We are told of the struggles and terrors through seventeen-year-old Alex’s eyes of how civilization ends.
